Notorious SF: Tommy Wenger
On March 24, 1994, former street hustler Tommy Wenger was last seen in a Polk Street gay bar. Five hours later his head and other body parts were found in four bags in a dumpster behind an apartment building on Myrtle Street, an alleyway off Polk between Geary and O'Farrell. The body of 25 year-old Wenger, unemployed and a drug addict, had been sawed into pieces. The case remains unsolved. Myrtle is now known as Alice B. Toklas and is located beginning along the north side of the AMC 1000 multiplex.
