Farewell Favorites: NBC
In 2002, the NBC television network ended its 52 year affiliation with San Francisco's KRON TV Channel 4 and began airing its programs in the Bay Area on San Jose based KNTV. Due to a $400 million sticking point and a whole host of TV industry machinations far too complicated for Mister SF to absorb, KRON lost the network shows and began airing its roster of syndicated and independently produced programs on New Years day. Station executives are promoting KRON's new format as "the Bay Area's News Station."
