Farewell Favorites: Capezio
This Post Street boutique moved to 180 Sutter in the '90s. Capezio was a downtown fixture for more than 30 years, catering to the community of dance teachers, students, and performers in the City. It was also a one stop Halloween costume shop for financial district folks looking for the perfect quick change between the office and after-hours parties. At Capezio, a stock broker could be transformed into a French maid in nothing flat, to use a term loosely. Capezio sold its last pointe shoe in December of 2000.
