Hollywood comes to SF!
The Castro Plays Itself

Biopic of slain gay leader Harvey Milk underway in SF neighborhood.

Restored Castro Theatre marquee is the highlight of a neighborhood
time warp by director Gus Van Sant for the filming of Milk.

The 1,500-seat Castro Theatre was designed by Timothy Pfluger and built in 1922.

The former Castro Camera is a principal filming location, as is the corner Market and Castro Streets, and San Francisco City Hall.
